Hi My name is Joe,

I am a software engineer from General Assembly software engineer immersive program, where I developed my JavaScript, React, Python, and other technical skills. I have a passion for building responsive, clean, and engaging code that delivers a wonderful experience for people!

Prior to becoming a software engineer, I was in customer service for over six years as a Realtor. I learned how to work in a collaborative environment by working on a diverse team and working with other agents daily. I was able to develop my problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership skills every day by becoming very goal-oriented.

I am obsessed with learning and taking in new information. The best part about this industry is that the learning will never stop and there is generous room for constant growth. At General Assembly, we are constantly learning new coding languages and implementing what we learned in a short period of time. In just under two weeks I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript then built a project manipulating the DOM to create a question game.

Ultimately, a software engineer’s job is to collaborate with a team and continuously learn, and know I bring the skills along with strong teamwork skills.

When I’m not coding, you can find me with my family or playing video games.
